Board and organisation

MERGE has five collaborating partners in Sweden and is hosted by the Faculty of Science at Lund University. It involves more than 250 researchers, including senior scientists, young scientists and other contributing staff.

The MERGE Board and its members are supported by an administrative unit based in Lund.

MERGE works in close collaboration with the strategic research area BECC, Lund University’s profile area Nature‑Based Future Solutions, and the collaboration platform LU Land.

The Scientific Advisory Board is envisaged to support the board of MERGE in developing and monitoring research within the programme in harmony with the strategic goals and objectives of the programme.

Stakeholder Reference Group

The groups members are high-level experts, representing government authorities, branch organisations, companies and NGOs in areas of agriculture, forestry, nature conservation and climate change. The group explicitly focuses on identifying societal needs for scientific knowledge and knowledge transfer, and on matching these against research foci and expertise of MERGE and its networks.
