MERGE researchers are welcome to apply for support through MERGE funds and facilities to invite guest researchers to work in areas that fall within the scientific framework and interests of MERGE. It could also be for own short guest research visits to a MERGE-environment outside their own university.

Please consider gender and diversity when suggesting guest researchers. Also consider suggesting researchers that complement existing research areas and researchers, and research areas where existing MERGE research has a gap.

It is advisable that guest researchers have secured permission for absence from his or her home organisation before applying. 

Covered expenses:

• Accommodation. 
• Other expenses related to the research visit (see appendix).
• One journey to and from home to Lund or Gothenburg. 

Submission of application:

Applications are to be submitted by the intended host, who must be a researcher affiliated with MERGE. Direct applications from prospective guest researchers will not be considered. Application should be approved by head of department.

This is an open call that you can apply for all year round.
